We're number one, again! Texas now has more judicial emergencies than any other state

Today the U.S. Senate confirmed Judge Cathy Ann Bencivengo for United States District Judge for the Southern District of California. This confirmation now puts Texas back in 1st place with more judicial emergencies than any other state (5) and more vacancies than any other state (5).  California now has 2 and 4, respectively.

Judge Bencivengo was confirmed with a vote of 90 yeas, 6 nays, and 4 abstentions.

Senator Cornyn and Hutchison have nominated, and the White House has approved, David Campos Guaderrama and Gregg Jeffrey Costa to fill emergency vacancies here in Texas, but political obstructionism by Cornyn and Hitchison's fellow conservatives in the Senate is delaying their confirmation. While some states are fighting this obstructionism to fill their judicial vacancies, Senators John Cornyn and Kay Bailey Hutchison are sitting silently on the sidelines while our courts continue to suffer.

Why? Ask them directly. Take a moment and give Senators Cornyn and Hutchison's offices a call and ask why they refuse to stand-up and demand our nominees, who they have already approved, are given an up-and-down vote.
